Personal Insight

It's important to do some self-reflection before looking for a job, as it allows you to make more informed decisions, choose a more suitable career, and prepare yourself better. By understanding who you are, what you want, and what you can offer, you will be more confident and better prepared for the world of work.
You may have been focusing on finding a job based on the salary or reputation of the company without considering whether the job really matches your interests and passions. Self-reflection therefore helps you identify the key skills you have and how they can be applied in the world of work and helps you find the skills that still need to be developed to be more competitive in the job market. And before you start applying, take some time to ask yourself a few of these questions:

-
What is really important to me in my work and professional life?
-
What are the key skills I have and how can I develop them?
-
What work experiences or projects make me most proud?
-
Do I prefer creative, analytical, technical or social work?
-
What makes me feel motivated to go to work every day?
-
What's the biggest challenge I've faced, and how did I overcome it?
-
What kind of company or industry do I want to be in?
Your skills, interests, and ambitions are shaped by your journey—your experiences, challenges, successes, and lessons learned. If we hire you based on your skills alone, we’ll get a capable professional. But if we hire you based on your skills, your passion for creativity, and your unique perspectives, we’ll get a true Space and Shapes team member. And that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
